Davifd Benioff has confirmed, in an interview with Winter-is-Coming, that if HBO renews Game of Thrones for a third season that, A Storm of Swords will not be one season, due to the book’s sheer size, (the book itself is being sold as two parts in many countries).
However, multiple sources have revealed that HBO is now considering making the seasons back to back, instead of doing two seperate shoots, which seems like a much bettter idea, although this means that the cast will be filming for a total of nine months.
Unfortunately, this does not mean that HBO will definately air the two seasons back to back, and fans may have to wait another year for part two of season 3.
Meanwhile DVD and Blue-Ray releases of season one of Game of Thrones, are expected to be around $59.99(£35.99) for DVD and $79.99(£47.99) for the Blue Ray edition.
